Lampounette

croeselaan (RABOBANK)

With eight oversized floor lamps inspired by George Carwardine’s world-famous architechtural lamp, this work of art seeks to transform Croeselaan into a more homely scene. The name Lampounette is a warm nod to this famous lamp. The oversized version of TILT allows this lamp to conquer new spaces and illuminate public urban or natural spaces with its (warm) colored light beams.

“Homecoming is a word attached with the idea of happiness and warmth, of being surrounded by people you love.”

France

TILT is a French artistic studio created in 2001 that focuses on light and its interaction with art, architecture and urban or natural spaces. Our work encompasses all aspects of light art, whether for temporary interventions or permanent installations, with the aim of changing the view and experience people have of the site we investigate. Inspired by nature or objects of the every day life, our works are thought to create a dreamlike universe made of humour and poetry. Our installations are meant to invite the passers-by to take over the space and build their own experience through the use of light and it endless possibilities…
