Nothern Light

hoog catharijne (Hagenouw) – reachable until 21.30 hrs

Northern Light is an installation with many computer controlled LED tubes, all dancing together in perfect synch with music through the loudspeakers. The idea is to create some sort of ballet with light, inspired by the mysterious dance of the Aurora, the Northern Light.

Northern Light can be visited until approximately 9.30 pm, after which this part of Hoog Catharijne closes for the rest of the evening.

ARTIST: Håkan Lidbo & Per-Olov Jernberg

Sweden

Håkan Lidbo is an artist and innovator with a background as a music producer. he is also the founder of Rumtiden Ide Lab, a creative space in Stockholm exploring the intersections between art and technology.

Per-Olov Jernberg is a polyglot programmer that use code as others use the paintbrush or the piano. As a part of Rumtiden Idea Lab he has created numerous installations for museums, science centers, events and exhibitions.
