Façade

Volksbank

Façade is a visual transformation of one of the tallest buildings in Utrecht. By working with different three-dimensional architectural elements, differences in scale and perspectives, a playful vision of the building and its surroundings is created. By using both high-tech (3D animation and video mapping) and low-tech techniques (carved masks and silhouettes, viewing boxes) we try to bring back the human dimension, imagination and creativity in the concrete high-rise building around the station.

“Homecoming to me is having a place where I can create my own worlds. My house, my workshop, a location for a location project. The moment you have to make the space your own, it becomes a familiar place that you can relate to.”
