Cozy

Rijnkade

Everyone has their own memories of coming home. But we think coming home and having a cup of tea is something we all do sometimes. Maybe it’s a memory from when you were a kid when you came home from school and drank tea first. And maybe you do that now with your own children or just anyway when you get home. We have a warm feeling about it.

The iconic 7-meter-high teapot, which has already stood in various places around Hoog Catharijne, is now very cold. Namely, on a disused, dark parking garage.

Now this teapot is of course not our work of art, but for the occasion it is nice to get a warm or warmer feeling. Of course, an empty and cold parking garage does not help in the winter. So especially for I Light U, Happy Tunnel also heats up the tea. In this case, the light is a kind of temporary graffiti.

“As it is next to the central station, we hope Office Party will bring a moment of joy to people’s lives every night, on their journey home.”

Happy Tunnel is a collective of light designers, light fanatics and light artists. We mainly make tunnels a nicer place to drive, cycle or walk through. But sometimes there are other places that could use a little more warmth or a nicer feeling. Of course we also want to give those kinds of places a better feeling.
